Dr. Salvatore Lacagnina, or Dr. Sal, as he prefers to be called, is the System Medical Director of Wellness and Employee Health for Lee Memorial Health System in Fort Myers, Florida. In this role, his mission is to motivate, educate and empower people to improve their health and wellness.

This lecture will highlight:

  • The importance of nutrition and the role it has in disease creation or prevention
  • The clinical research which reveals the effectiveness of using nutrition in the prevention, treatment and reversal of chronic disease
  • The need to open the discussion with each patient about the quality of their nutrition.

A delicious plant-based dinner will be provided with this lecture.

Note: Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine has requested that the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education approve this program for 1 credit of AOA Category 1A CME credit. Approval is currently pending.
