Program Objectives

1. Define Zika Virus and modes of transmittal

2. Identify symptoms and diagnostic testing for Zika Virus

3. Identify Ohio resources/forms for reporting suspected, probable, and confirmed cases of Zika

4. Recognize ODH guidance for submitting specimens to ODH lab/CDC for Zika testing (RT-PCR, lgM, PRNT)

5. Describe ODH’s protocol for reporting results and follow-up on confirmed cases of Zika
