August 4-6 – Ohio Tax Holiday on School Supplies

S.B. 9 enacted a sales tax holiday in Ohio to occur beginning Friday, August 4, 2017 at 12:01 am and ending Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 11:59 pm. Items that are exempt from sales and use tax include clothing priced at $75 per item or less, school supplies priced at $20 per item or less, and school instructional material priced at $20 per item or less. Items used in a trade or business are not exempt under the sales tax holiday.
